Are You Ignoring up to 38% of Your Target Market?

Over the past few years, I've been working exclusively with mothers and mentoring them into online business profitability. These are mothers, growing in huge numbers, that have decided to stay home with the kids -- but still need to put food on the table and take care of their families. I don't have to tell you that the Internet is the perfect vehicle for a mom to do this.

But here's the problem. There is a serious shortage of Internet marketing products that are marketed effectively to this nearly untapped market. These products are almost always promoted to a get rich quick, male audience. Sadly, that shuts out almost 38% of your target market.

I've decided to make a change, so GOOD products can be made available to mothers. To find out how you can help and make money at the same time -- please visit Marketing to Moms in Business.

Hi Alice,

You have a bad link to http://marketingtomomsinbusiness.com/as. BTW are you saying 38% of the internet marketing products are "get rich quick" products or 62%? My gut feeling is that it is the later. But that could be that I'm part of the male audience.

Thanks, Howard...I made an error by adding an extra "w" to the www. Yikes! It works now.

My point was that 38% of small businesses are owned by women -- thus, these products (even the good ones, cuz there are a lot of good ones), just don't appeal to the typical mom/female business owner.

But I get ya! There is some crap out there. :(

Hi Alice,

How about marketing to all women, not just stay at home moms? Not all women have children. Plus there are older women who's kids are grown, or nearly grown. They are probably out of the "stay at home mom" category too.

Just 2 cents from a WWK. (woman without kids)

Hey Sandra...thanks for the feedback. I am not an expert in marketing to women in general, so I really couldn't do that. Just sharing some expertise and knowledge I've gained over the years.

Hi Alice,

You've got a great niche in WAHM, and market effectively to this group from what I've seen. WAHM do need specific types of support such as what you provide.

I would personally like to see products that help empower women, regardless of their stage of life. And in a more general way, marketers need to keep in mind that their audience is both male and female when writing copy for even a generic product. :)
