LOL - I got banned cuz I use Explorer
I was just surfing around Technorati and went to visit a blog by Matt Selznick that came up in my searches. And LOL...he kicked me off his site because I use Internet Explorer! Apparently, Explorer "not compatible with this website" and I should instead use Firefox.
At first, I thought he really just hated Explorer, but then I noted the little graphic he used to get people to download Firefox. Yowsers, hope that's within the guidelines.
If you go to his site with Firefox, I assume you'll be able to see it. Try Explorer and you'll be asked to download Firefox because:
"It keeps Microsoft from controlling the future of the internet. "

OMG that is too funny, well at least he admits that he wants you to download and that he will make money (hmm, isn't that against the rules lol), I do use Firefox so didn't get the boot. Have to say his marketing tactic is interesting to put it politly lol. Robyn
Yep, one of these.. although he now seems to have added a link to continue to the site with IE.
Actually, I have to I partially agree with this guy's position. Designing a site with CSS etc. can make a site look like a trainwreck in IE. Or Firefox, for whichever it was originally designed for.
At any rate, I don't think anybody makes or loses any money in the equation.. it's just an annoyance, even if funny at times. I should know, I subscribe to a mailing list called "Death To Microsoft". :)

I honestly don't care about the potential income involved... I just love Firefox!

And in response to Eero Tunkelo: Firefox renders pages according to standards, and my page is a WordPress site, which is also, I think, standards-compliant. When you view it in IE, the margins are off, borders magically appear, and so on.

I just don't like this IE, Firefox is really made for 2006, and I think IE is from another age.
I just can't surf with it.
