Not at all. When I see a blog with many comments, I know that this person has invested a great deal of effort in their blog in ways of providing content, entertaining or interacting with their readers or targeted community.
Instead of being jealous, one should apply the same effort to their own blog.
I really don't feel jealous because I haven't put time into promoting my blogs yet ;). I actually feel good thinking that, when I have the time to promote, maybe I'll get lots of comments too :).
I admit I feel a little tinge, but it motivates me to do better with my blog.
Jealous? No. But it does serve as great motivation to encourage comments and community building on my own blog. :)

I'm just getting started at blogging, so I'm not expecting tons of comments at mine. I would like to see them steadily grow, but I know I have to start writing things that people will actually want to read, not just keep babbling like I have been.
Do I have to be the only one who says I get jealous? Oh well....I have to be honest, I do envy blogs who get a lot of comments (good comments).
You're all right though, you do have to go beyond that, and let it motivate you to do better and be more active.
Ummm... All blogs get more comments than mine, and yes, I do get jealous! I just started a contest to improve the comments on my blog. Going great so far!
I will admit I have been jealous. I think it's a natural reaction. And sometimes it's very frustrating when you see there are plenty of people visiting and nobody is saying anything. Sheesh!
Yea I do admit some.. but it seems the more we comment on others eventually they will comment on yours. Now when I check my stats and see 170 visits a day and only 9 comments makes me think ok where are the peeps at then? LOL
Sometimes I do wonder why there are so many visitors yet so little comments. I think the more personal posts from a blog get more comments than the informational ones. Just my 2 cents! LOL!
I don't get jealous but do wish I had more people commenting on my blog :)
